Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- The Sales Associate will work with the Automotive team to support the Account Manger for assigned accounts in a forward-facing customer role.
- The selected individual will work with Automotive Account Manager in support of; quotation entry, monitor and resolve customer account receivables, update customer pricing, monthly forecast and additional responsibilities as assigned by the Sales Manager or Director of Sales
Key Objectives
Quotation Management
- Internal coordination of customer request for quotes
- Internal coordination with spaneting, plant personnel and engineering
- Preparation of quotes to customer
Management of Growth and Revenue opportunities
- Opportunity Input
- Date & Milestone Management
- Concurrence with latest commercial information & timing
Management of Customer Satisfaction survey systemUpdates to Customer Plan based on input from commercial teamCoordination and communication of overall customer updates:
- Quality Metrics
- Inventory Management
- Shipment Summary (over or under pull situations to commercial team for resolution/disposition)
- Release Tracking (necessary to ensure that changes to customer releases on augmented scale are being tracked and brought to the attention of the commercial team)
Support/coordination of customer material sample requests & pre-production build support
- Cost & Timing
- Coordination with outside processors and internal technical resources
- Quote preparation
- Development of support plan, identification of barriers, and resolution strategy with the commercial team
- Active monitoring of support plan to ensure milestones are met and, in the case of road blocks, work with team on resolution
Support the commercial team in developing and executing an overall customer strategy that is in alignment with spanet and business unit goals and objectives.Establish an understanding of each customers products, processes.
Monitor customer performance for critical metrics including forecast accuracy, payment, inventory, accounts receivable imbalances, and reconciliation.Communicate with Arconic organizations/resources in support of commercial team; included are; Marketing, Credit, Metal Management, Legal, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Technical Center, Inside Sales.
Assist with account receivable imbalances.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- 3 years of sales or program management experience
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of sales or program management experience in a manufacturing/technical environment with regular & required exposure to complex manufacturing processes and technical product knowledge
- 3 years prior experience in managing multiple complex projects/tasks simultaneously
- Solid technical knowledge/learning ability
- Highly effective communication skills
- Organization skills
- Experience with automotive OEM and aluminum sheet sales
