Role Summary
* The Paint Technician is responsible for preparing and painting aircraft surfaces in support of production, flight test, and completion operations. This role performs surface preparation, paint removal, masking, finishing, and documentation while maintaining safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.Education & Job Requirements

* Experience preparing and painting aircraft or equivalent experience.Job Duties & Functions
* You will be able
* Read engineering drawings to determine preparation tasks prior to chemical and paint application on aircraft surfaces.
* Apply safety absorbent materials to hangar floors and apply paint stripper to aircraft surfaces to remove existing paint.
* Assist with moving aircraft to designated work bays.
* Mask, unmask, and re-mask aircraft surfaces to protect windows and other damage-sensitive areas.
* Remove paint stripper, excess paint, and contaminants using water, solvents, air blowers, and brushes.
* Sand, grind, and buff aircraft surfaces, apply putty to body dents, and replace sealer in preparation for primer and paint application.
* Apply Alodine to aircraft surfaces using spray equipment.
* Perform paint touch-up work as required.
* Document work performed in accordance with inspection procedures.
* Perform assigned tasks in support of production, flight test, and other operational areas as required.
* Assist other employees with duties within assigned areas of qualification.
