Job Description:

What Youll Get to Do
The Technical Records Clerk will be responsible for the maintenance of aircraft/component records including data entry into the maintenance tracking system and the completion of general office duties such as scanning and filing in the Technical Records department.

  • Maintenance of aircraft/component records in accordance with established procedures and policies of Transport Canada, component/aircraft manufactures or the Director of Maintenance Programs
  • Cross-checking daily flight times in Win Air computer software program
  • Clearing maintenance performed as per completed work cards in Win Air
  • Transcribing journey log sheets into the Technical logbooks, as well as select and enter items that also require transcription into the Modification, Engine or Propeller logbooks
  • Data entry and tracking of major rotables in the maintenance tracking system
  • Forecasting and posting task cards for each aircraft according to the prescribed schedule
  • Reviewing the completed journey logbooks and archiving journey log sheets, inspection sheets and job cards
  • Maintaining the aircraft and general office filing system
  • Implementation of revisions to the MPD and other documents making up Calm Air’s Maintenance Schedule
  • Implementing maintenance tracking system changes
  • Assisting with revisions to manuals under the supervision of the Technical Records Manager
  • Respects and maintains confidentiality with customer and personnel information
  • Ensures all incidents and accidents are reported in the SMS program or in writing
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Experience We Value

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Previous experience in a related field considered an asset
  • Post-secondary education in Office Administration considered as asset
  • Proficiency with computers (MS Office)
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required enhanced security clearances
  • Inuktitut language considered an asset
  • Preference will be given to Inuit Land Claims Beneficiaries
