Job Description:
- Deploy available Emirates resources to best advantage in order to satisfy passenger and operational requirements arising during each duty period.
- Issue tickets, EMD/EBT, make and amend reservations as and when necessary. Re-issue tickets and recalculate fares for passengers changing itineraries and make additional collections as required, ensuring the expeditious and accurate completion of all documentation.
- Ensure cash float is carefully checked, signed and reported on a shift basis and all relevant monies collected is banked as per local procedures.
- Handle denied boarding situations including implementation of the “Options” Scheme and as per Emirates policy and procedures in order to retain customer confidence and loyalty.
- Undertake various administration functions and other duties as directed from time to time by the Airport Services Manager and other senior staff on duty.
- Respond to queries, complaints and claims in an efficient and timely manner in order to restore passenger confidence.
- Co-ordinate training for the ticket desk staff in consultation with the Airport Services Manager.
- Ensure Ticket Desk Agents are given the required guidance/coaching and ensure that they are well motivated, groomed and able to perform their tasks in an efficient and professional manner. Assist in setting Performance Reviews and Objectives for ticket desk staff and also provide the required feedback for their PM process.
- Ensure by monitoring all Reservation queues are clear and actioned as per requirement / CDS/ issuance of ETA’s/ book and STPC, where applicable.
Job Requirements:
- ‘O’ Level or equivalent
- Must have completed advanced courses in Reservations & Ticketing and basic courses in passenger handling
- Proficiency of advanced Geography and Mathematics
- Given the specific requirements at outstations, a minimum of 4 years’ experience is required in Ticketing/Reservations background (preferably with airport experience), with at least 2 years’ experience at either a Senior Ticketing Agent or Supervisory Level.
- Good knowledge experience of a major Computer Reservations Systems with auto ticketing preferred and Proficient in MS Office applications.
