STi plans, organizes, directs and controls NUWCDIVKPT’s Test, Training and Evaluation (TT&E) of Undersea Warfare (USW) Systems and Operational Readiness Assessment support for Acquisition and Fleet customers. STi conducts system evaluation activities throughout all phases of the acquisition life cycle including technology development, system design, development, production, and in-service readiness assessment. In performance of Test and Evaluation, STi plans and executes test programs; provides test environments that closely approximate war-fighting environments; provides methods for measuring system performance in those environments; and conducts performance analysis and evaluation of the systems under test. STi provides T&E planning, test execution and analytical support. STi supports Analysis and Assessment, Fleet Material Readiness, Signatures and Susceptibility and other Product Areas.
 
(2.3.4) Range Craft Operation, Maintenance and Repair Support:
  • STi's Motorboat Operator conducts preventive level maintenance to ensure all of the assigned craft are in the operational status in accordance with standard commercial practices and submit recommendations to resolve maintenance problems associated with range craft equipment, including hardware and documentation changes. This includes documenting the extent of repairs required, materials or parts needed and to estimate the time required to complete repairs. After Government approval when corrective maintenance is identified,
  • STi's Motorboat Operator conducts corrective maintenance at a component/subassembly level.
  • STi's Motorboat Operator repairs or replaces onboard systems to restore to operational condition in accordance with standard commercial practices. This includes onboard diagnosis of equipment malfunctions and failures, and restore operation by replacement, or repair as appropriate. This could involve troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, and installing equipment such as propulsion machinery and auxiliary generators, pumps, compressors, and firefighting machinery on sea going vessels.
  • STi's Motorboat Operator provides recommendations to supporting work packages for annual upkeep periods and the dry-docking cycle.
  • STi's Motorboat Operator, during underway operations, will support operations, maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary to ensure successful operations in keeping with standard maritime engineering practices.
  • STi's Motorboat Operator, when operating a vessel the Contractor shall maintain desired courses, using compasses or electronic navigation aids.
  • STi's Motorboat Operator will give recommendations for repairs, fuel and organize supplies for vessel.
Job Requirements:
  • Desired Associates' Degree and two years of experience in related field. Motorboat Operator License
  • Clearance Requirements: Secret Clearance
  • Hourly Rate: TBD per hour.
  • Start Date: As soon as possible.

Contract Duration: This is a long standing contract that STi has recently been awarded. The contract with STi has a duration of 5 years, at which time the contract will be re-competed. STi and other vendors will bid at that time, and if in the event STi does not win the resulting contract, personnel on site have first right of refusal on a job offer from the incoming contractor. It is a long term position in that regard as personnel will just change their badging to the new company that takes over, but all positions will remain.
