What You Will Do:
The Mission and Vehicle Analysis group at Pratt & Whitney is at the forefront of advancing and optimizing next generation engine capability through joint aircraft and engine performance optimization. Engineers in MVA are looked to for insight into how the aircraft is predicted to perform, and how today’s fielded aircraft are actually flown. With the rapid advancement of next generation military and commercial platforms, Pratt & Whitney is seeking and developing engineering technical leaders with expertise in both aircraft and engine performance to advance the state of the art and add value with these propulsion systems.
Join a highly skilled team of engineers leading the industry in aircraft and engine integration for new product and fielded product applications.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Analysis of F135 military engine and aircraft data to generate a design Duty Cycle
Work efficiently in computer programming environments including AWS and languages such as Python
Become proficient in the use, maintenance, and advancement of the MVA toolset
Onsite customer visits to military bases to speak with pilots to understand how the engine is being used
Qualifications We Prefer:
Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of successful experience in a technical assignment within an Engineering organization OR
Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of successful experience in a technical assignment within an Engineering organization
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally 10
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) or previous experience with military Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
Moderate to advanced proficiency coding in Python
3+ years experience or familiarity with F135 engine program and fleet data analyses
3+ years experience or background with structural analyses

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility
The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
