Position Responsibilities
* Plans the layout, fabrication, and testing of mechanical devices; sets up and operates any type of precision machine tool to make original parts, tools, mechanisms, and devices for experimental purposes. Basic Qualifications(Required Skills/Experience)
*Experience with CNC Machines
*Experience with Machine Setup
*Problem-solving abilities

*May be required to solve problems relative to work-holding arrangement, unusual materials, machine settings, tools, product specifications, and fabrication methods for production process.
*Normally performs precision work to exact tolerances and dimensions for research engineers in a developmental laboratory condition.
*Some machines may be numerically controlled.
*May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures.
*Performs a variety of activities that involve standard procedures.
*Gathers and manipulates common data, verifies adequacy and appropriateness; develops charts, diagrams, and standard reports.
*In technical or production positions, may also set up and operate standard electronic or mechanical equipment used to develop, produce and/or test products or process data.
*HURCO VMX42SRTi 5-axis machining Center (Will be working with)
*FADAL 6030, 4020, 3016 CNC Vertical Machining Centers (Will be working with)
*Supertec Planotec 1224 NC grinder (Will be working with)
*Fryer/ Siemens 828 HC-CNC Control Toolroom Lathe (Will be working with)
*Primary machine programming utilizes Mastercam Software (Will be working with)
