Job Duties:

Students may be involved in one or many of the following:

  • Provides basic support and troubleshooting, such as password resets, printer configurations, break/fix instructions, ticket routing and escalation to Level 2 and Level 3 support. 
  • Gathers and analyzes information about the user’s issue and determines the best way to resolve their problem
  • Provides technical assistance to system users, ensures positive customer experience, and promotes customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for answering and triaging Service Desk calls and Jira tickets and documenting troubleshooting steps and resolution accordingly.
  • Diagnoses system hardware, software, and application problems based on knowledge of system operations. 
  • Coordinates the repairs to any personal computer and/or peripherals with major manufacturers/suppliers ensuring warranty provisions apply.
  • Assists in maintaining software library of all company-owned personal computer-based software, ensuring compliance with all software licenses and copyright laws..

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Enrolment in post-secondary studies in related field.
  • Good planning, organizational, analytical, decision making, oral and written communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong self-motivation and organization skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a high pace environment.
