JOB TITLE: Grinding/Finishing
SUMMARY
Cleans, deburrs, polishes, or grinds forged parts by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Uses hand drill to clean, deburr, polish or grind forged part.
- Uses buffing or grinding wheel to deburr or polish forged part.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hand(s) and fingers to handle parts; is required to reach with hands and arms; is occasionally required to stand and/or walk to move parts or containers of parts weighing up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision and color vision.
