Morson are recruiting a forklift truck driver for our aerospace client in Portsmouth.
Candidates must also hold a full driving licence.
Role
This role is part of the Supply Chain Function and whilst your responsibilities are predominantly focused on Logistics activities, there may be the requirement based on your skill set and experience to support the wider function when necessary due to business needs
• Follow standard work for material handling (e.g. receiving, shipping, warehousing…..)
• Perform all activities in accordance with safety and quality rules
• Records movements of material in the transactional records systems (e.g. receipt, booking….)
• Make proposals to improve safety, quality, efficiency…
Key accountabilities
Ensure the safety procedures are followed by staff and drivers
Support stores stocktaking processes to ensure a robust count
Unloading supplier deliveries using POVs
Moves/handles materials between production cells
Use of material handling equipment for material movements
Pick/kit materials for production and issues from SAP
Receive, inspect and store inbound (internal) deliveries
Pick, pack and ship product for onward delivery, internally and externally
Working hours are 9 days over a fortnight totalling 74 hours
Monday to Thursday 7.30 am - 4.15 pm
Monday to Friday 7.30 am - 4.15 pm
