An exciting opportunity to join the brand and Social Media team, this role will work with the paid social media and display manager supporting the development of our UK paid social media strategy, planning and campaign activation, primarily across Meta and TikTok.


They will partner with brand, communications, creative agencies and studio to ensure we deliver authentic, social first content that is relevant to platforms and drives engagement and conversion. They will work with agency partners to lead our AI optimisation across paid social and with media owners to participate in beta tests.



  • Working with agencies and brand team set up and execute retargeting and prospecting paid social ads across TikTok and Meta primarily.
  • Support the team in deepening their knowledge and performance of paid social media, managing the planning, execution and optimisation of paid social media campaigns across various social platforms.
  • Work with our media agency and other suppliers to drive optimisation and innovation across the plan
  • Support the brand managers in campaign planning and strategic recommendations.
  • Work with media effectiveness manager to analyse campaign performance and provide insights to brand and media planning team to ensuring learning and best practice is adopted across the teams.
  • Work with effectiveness team to optimise in campaign strategies, placement types and ad formats across the right demographics to drive ROI.
  • Work with brand team and social media managers to ensure that campaigns are running on time and in line with KPI targets and spend.
  • Monitor feeds, UTM tracking, pixels and CAPI integrations to ensure reporting and audience builds are as accurate as possible.
  • Maintain strong publisher platform relationships (Meta, TikTok) to driving learning and best practice back into the business, keeping VA at the forefront of new paid media strategies.
  • Responsible for helping to direct and implement the social paid media strategy at scale driving step change in optimization of channels and social first content to drive step change in engagement and conversion.
  • Able to act as consult to other spanets and brand teams on best practice for display and paid social media, guiding optimisation of content at every opportunity, to drive increased engagement and reach.
  • Leverage industry and social platform trends and competitor activity on social media. Keeping abreast of platform changing algorithms and changing needs of content.
  • An understanding of the UK social media landscape, paid social principles and best practice especially for (but not limited to) Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Experience of managing display advertising including working knowledge of AB testing
  • Must be able to prioritise effectively and manage a workload in a fast moving, changeable environment where the ability to react is key.
  • Intellectually curious with a passion for all things social and digital.
  • A brand and innovation champion, fostering creativity, collaboration and innovation among team members.
  • Able to analyse data to create clear and concise reports and turn insight into action.
  • Detail orientated person with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Comfortable at networking and building relationships with good influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Agile thinker and do-er who is prepared to think outside the box to achieve results.
  • Highly organised and self-motviated individual with excellent attention to detail.
  • Passion for digital spaneting and constantly learning about the changing digital ecosystem – willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
