• To carry out egress maintenance, repairs and system testing on and off Tornado aircraft.
• May be required to provide support to the RSAF away from TMSC/shop
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Egress System Maintenance
• Performs major and minor egress repairs, modifications and TCTOs on Tornado egress system.
• Is responsible for the quality and completeness of the work he carries out, or signs for as having been carried out, on the egress system.
• Works within the requirements of the TSS Quality System and RSAF Technical Orders.
• Completes TSS forms, appropriate aircraft forms, records and maintenance documentation.
• Ensures maximum effort is made to safeguard the programme timescales in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Provides on-the-job and theory training.
• Deputises, if required, for the supervisor.
2. Training and Certification
• Ensures his authorisations are current for the task in hand.
• Highlight to his immediate supervisor areas of inexperience or training requirements, for himself and others.
3. Quality Assurance and Control
• Complies with the requirements of the TSS Quality System and RSAF Technical Orders/publications.
4. Health and Safety
• Ensures Health and Safety / Duty of Care policies contained in the TSS SHE Policy manual are fully understood and adhered to.
RECRUITMENT QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Qualifications
Critical
• Completed a recognised Trade Apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Completion of Tornado Egress Maintenance course.
• Tornado system testing and flight line experience.
Experience and skills
Critical
• Minimum of 3 years in trade speciality on the Tornado aircraft, or 5 years on fast jet aircraft.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings.
• Current UK/Saudi Driving Licence.
Desirable
• Working knowledge of Q-pulse, DMS and an understanding of M&CA processes.
• Experience of deep aircraft maintenance, Tornado.
• Experience of RSAF documentation and procedures.
• Familiarity with PC use and the Microsoft Office suite.
