Job Description:
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Metallic assembly engineer (f/m) to join our Metallic Materials and Processes department based in Marignane, France.
You will join a team of 6 people in the department Materials and Processes , Metallic division (around 40 people split in 4 different teams). This department has for principal role to promote, Develop and Qualify advanced Materials & Processes The team works transversally together with designers, programs and also with the other entities of Airbus (Airbus Commercial, Airbus Defence and Space, Airbus Atlantic).

Your challenges
For this job opened within the metallic department in Marignane, your main tasks will be the following ones:
Define and manage research programs (internal and/or external of Airbus Helicopters) on mechanical assembly processes and new technological standards.
Qualify mechanical assembly processes and develop associated reference documentation for both engineering and production
Participate to the production of technological demonstrators
In the frame of new developments, participate to the choice of the best mechanical assembly processes in connection with engineering, production, quality, procurement and support services with the aim to support group objectives (safety, customer satisfaction, cost and performance)
Support industrialization of mechanical assembly processes for Airbus Helicopters group
Support production on mechanical assembly processes used in serial production, repair and overhaul.
Your profile
You have an engineering degree, which could be completed by a PhD diploma, and are specialized in metallic materials, physics or mechanical engineering.
You prove a first experience in a similar job with first experience of project management and of support to production.
Engineer technologist, you are attracted by the development of new assembly processes from the exploratory phase up to their implementation in manufacturing shops and FAL.
Ideally you have good knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, drilling, crimping, ...);
Knowledge about numerical simulation of processes would be a plus (for instance ESI softwares).
Curious, you like to work in a multidisciplinary team, and have good analytical skills.
Technical English in the field of materials and processes is requested
This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
