Join Collins Aerospace as a Digital Technology Placement Student and gain hands-on experience in the aerospace industry while completing your degree. This 12-month placement will immerse you in key projects that advance our digital journey and support Wolverhampton’s transformation into a smart, connected factory.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be part of our Digital Technology team, where you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills and support critical projects, with responsibilities that may include:
- Project Management: Oversee significant technology projects, from software updates to the introduction of new platforms.
- Digital Strategy: Work alongside business leaders and specialists as we implement our Digital Strategy.
- Application Development: Create key metrics, applications, and reports that bring value to our customers and internal teams.
- Automation & Innovation: Support the transition to a smart factory by assisting with projects such as:
- Transaction and data collection automation
- Robotic interfaces and reporting automation
- Development of intelligent business models

About You
- Currently pursuing a technology-based bachelor’s degree, on track for a 2:1 or above.
- Familiarity with programming or web design skills (e.g., HTML, CSS, VBA, Java, PHP, ASP).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, adaptable and calm under pressure.
- Self-motivated, creative, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
