Join PDS Tech as a Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA) Lab Technician in the Electrical Component and Material Lab (ECML). You will support the DPA Lab with performing DPA testing on wide variety of electronic components (passives, actives, connectors, hybrids, IMAs, COTS).

Job Title: Destructive Physical Analysis Lab Technician
Job Type: Full time; Contract-to-hire (6 months)
Location: Manhattan Beach, CA 90266
Schedule: Monday to Friday; 9x80 A, First shift
Pay Rate: $38.00 to $47.50 per hour

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducts experiments and tests involving wafer, electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, optical, hydraulic, metallurgical, vacuum, or chemicals within fabrication or processing laboratories to support engineering and reliability analyses.

  • Evaluates new processes, components, products, and systems in conformance with engineering specifications.

  • Isolates problems for further analyses.

  • Collects and documents results and generates reports.

  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

  • May design experiments.

  • May be required to ensure correct functioning and identify any discrepancies.

  • May advise operators and inform engineers regarding processes, procedures, and equipment.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D) plus 2 years’ experience performing technician responsibilities in a lab environment.

  • Ability to follow test plans and work with hands

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Outlook) skills

  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working at a DPA Lab or electronics failure analysis lab environment

  • Experience with MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750, MIL-STD-1580

  • Experience with Destructive Physical Analysis Lab equipment (such as microscopes, bond-pull, die-Shear, SEM/EDX, cross-sectioning, etc.)

  • Good verbal & written communication skills

  • Detail-oriented



Pay Details: $38.00 to $47.50 per hour
