We are seeking a Chemical Processing Operator at our Troy, OH location to meet growth demands at our facility. The role involves performing process checks, operating various equipment (washer, shot peen, conversion coating, anodizing, and more), reworking parts as needed, and ensuring a clean work environment. Responsibilities also include moving materials between workstations and maintaining safety and quality standards.

2nd shift: Monday - Friday 3:00p.m.- 11:00p.m

What You Will Do

  • Receive and follow job assignments from the supervisor or job book.
  • Monitor and adjust the pollution control system and chemical concentrations; maintain records.
  • Respond to wastewater alarms and perform visual system checks.
  • Handle hazardous waste and place in proper containers per guidelines.
  • Follow standard operating procedures, blueprints, and NADCAP requirements.
  • Set up and operate departmental equipment, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Load, unload, and rework parts as needed; maintain shot and chemical levels.
  • Record data on SPC/PCL charts and report issues to the supervisor.
  • Oil machines, move materials, retrieve tools, and complete forms.
  • Attend training, meetings, and perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required. 
  • Substantial reaching and moving while standing; lifting to 25lbs unassisted; twisting; stooping; and response to sounds associated to the work environment.
  • Adhere to all EH&S roles and responsibilities as stated in manufacturing work instructions and EHS policies and procedures.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here:  https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
  • Achieve a passing score on a Mechanical Aptitude test
  • FAA requires a Color vision normal test one time only. Near vision in one or both eyes corrected to 20/25 or better is checked once every year. 

Qualifications We Prefer

  • 1 year of Hazardous Material experience
  • Oral and written comprehension and understanding of technical documents including but not limited to routings, blueprints, Engineering process specifications and written work instructions.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. 

This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
