Role Introduction
Reports to: Cargo Supervisor
The teams at Cargo Service Delivery manage our global cargo services. This includes managing operations and processes and following all local regulations. Our role is to maintain the Cathay Cargo customers’ experience by ensuring their shipments can reach the destination without deviation.
As the Cargo Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring airport cargo operations run smoothly and efficiently without any failure on safety and security in all aspects.

Key Responsibilities
- Process Air Waybill (AWB) data from cargo forwarders
- Process all regulatory check set by different authorities, e.g.,Air Cargo Advance Screening (US ACAS)
- Compile Cargo Load Plan for export flight
- Handle transit cargo according to load plan
- Carry out pre-manifesting and manifesting according to booking list, load plan and adhere to all loading limitation/requirement
- Communicate closely with warehouse and Load Control so as to deliver load figures accurately and timely
- Handle post-flight documentation and activities according to standards set
- Accept various cargo products, including general cargo, Pharma LIFT, live animals, dangerous goods, etc., in compliance with company and industry safety, security, and electronic documentation standards, such as E-Air Waybill (E-AWB) management
- Perform duties as designated by Cargo Supervisor and other senior level
Requirements
- Right to work in Hong Kong
- Minimum age of 18
- HKCEE/HKDSE qualification, with at least 5 subjects passed including English language, or equivalent
- Good command in spoken English. Proficiency in Cantonese and written Chinese are an advantage
- Fresh graduates are welcome, experience in airline, especially in cargo operations would be an advantage
- Proficiency in PC operation
- Flexibility to work on shift schedules (including overnight, weekend, and public holidays)
- As the position you are applying for is a Safety Sensitive Role you are also required to pass a pre-employment drug test
