Role Introduction

Report to : Lead Technical Services Engineer – Cabin Operations

This position is responsible for ensuring that all cabin cleaning activities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and quality that our discerning passengers expect. The role involves conducting regular audits, spot checks, and inspections to assess compliance with established protocols and identify areas for improvement. The incumbent must have a keen eye for detail, a passion for excellence and an unwavering commitment to promote cabin quality across our fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular audits and spot checks of cabin cleaning processes to ensure compliance with company standards and requirements.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance protocols and audit checklists for cabin cleaning operations.
  • Monitor and enforce cleaning requirements, providing guidance and support to the service provider’s cleaning teams to maintain exceptional cleanliness and service quality.
  • Collaborate with the service providers to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Advocate for the passenger experience by ensuring that all aspects of cabin appearance align with the premium service ethos of Cathay.
  • Conduct briefing and guidance to the cleaning staff on industry best practices and company standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports on audit findings, identifying trends and areas for improvement, present insights to management for strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor and track performance metrics related to cabin cleanliness.
Requirements
  • University degree holder is preferred with minimum 5-year work experience in the aviation industry.
  • Proven experience in quality control, hospitality, or aviation, particularly in a premium service environment. Experience as cabin crew is an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
  • A confident team player with the ability to work with people at all levels and in cross-departmental teams to achieve the best result and implement changes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; verbal proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is desirable.
  • Computer proficiency, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word
