Summary:
The ideal candidate will have experience creating complex programs, knowledge of metrology, and proficiency in developing and maintaining quality inspection procedures. Responsibilities include: Creating programs for medium-complexity parts using PC-DMIS software
Developing in-process manual inspections and optimizing final inspection strategies in collaboration with CAM programming, Quality Inspectors, and Machinists
Programming high-tolerance aerospace parts within aggressive production timelines
Ensuring consistent quality ownership of assigned jobs
Troubleshooting CMM issues across multiple production parts to maintain adherence to specifications and quality standards
Collaborating effectively with Machining and Programming during proveout phases to influence manufacturing strategy modifications with data-driven insights
Writing clear and standardized work instructions for technicians to conduct CMM and manual inspections, including designing user-friendly fixtures to minimize errors (e.g., using jigs)
Required Skills:
Ability to create CMM programs for complex parts with tight tolerances using PC-DMIS
Proficiency with various quality system measuring devices, CMM software applications (e.g., PC-DMIS), handheld gauges, and color measuring equipment (e.g., Spectrophotometers, Spectroradiometers), 3D scanning, and post-scan analysis software
Accurate data processing, record keeping, and tabulation skills
Problem-solving in metrology within an AS9100 environment
Desired Skills:
PC-DMIS programming certifications
Bachelors degree in a related field
5 or more years of experience in CMM programming and quality assurance
Experience in aerospace manufacturing
