Level two bench grinders/deburr operators work with minimal assistance to perform all levels of hand finishing tasks. Examples of tasks level two deburr operators are responsible for include edge breaking and using a variety of deburr tools and media to achieve specified surface finishes on a number of different materials. This position requires the ability to read basic print and having an understanding of different deburr media uses and applications. These individuals must be able to hold dimensions when deburring. Level two bench grinders will also gain an intermediate understanding of and familiarity with customer specifications. These individuals will demonstrate the ability to use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers and profilometers, etc. This position typically requires 1-5 years of experience.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with little assistance to Conduct bench/deburring operations frequently to or on products containing critical features and close tolerances on machined aerospace parts
  • Interpret plans, work orders, blueprints and drawings to determine how to conduct necessary bench (deburr, etc.) operations.
  • Use various measuring instruments in order to accurately accomplish bench/deburring tasks.

Required Skills:

  • Position requires the ability to life 40 lbs.
  • Basic print reading
  • Ability to use inspection tools including micrometers, calipers and profilometers

Required Experience:

  • Experience working in an aerospace manufacturing environment preferred but not required

Level of Education:

  • GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $18.50 to $28.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 104 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company&39;s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
