Armament Operator (Typhoon)
Location: Taif, Saudi Arabia
Duration: 6 months rolling contract
Hours: 48 hours per week, Sunday–Thursday
Overtime may be available at the normal day rate
Rates include shared accommodation and flights to/from the UK (related to job/visa)
Rate: 280 per day
Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Armament Operator to support maintenance operations on Typhoon aircraft within a highly regulated military aviation environment.
Working as part of a skilled team, you will carry out scheduled weapons maintenance activities, ensuring all work is completed in line with approved technical data, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. This role offers the chance to work on a world-class combat aircraft platform while developing your technical expertise in a dynamic operational setting.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out scheduled weapons maintenance on Typhoon aircraft
Perform tasks including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and minor rectification
Ensure all work is completed to the required quality and airworthiness standards
Work in accordance with approved technical orders, publications, and quality systems
Accurately complete maintenance documentation, records, and forms
Maintain valid authorisations for all tasks undertaken
Identify and report training needs or skill gaps to supervision
Ensure all mandatory training is completed and remains in date
Support team operations and carry out additional duties as required by management
Essential Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in an operational aircraft maintenance environment
Experience working on military or fast jet aircraft (Typhoon experience advantageous)
Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and quality standards
Ability to work in accordance with technical documentation and regulatory requirements
Good attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Qualifications
Completion of a recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship
Minimum Level 2 qualification in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
Equivalent military qualifications will also be considered

Based in Taif, Saudi Arabia
Sunday–Thursday working pattern (48 hours per week)
