Role Summary
* In this role, you will perform fabrication, mechanical, and electrical assembly tasks supporting manufacturing and test operations, including machining setup, wiring, avionics assembly, and preparation of test articles. You will work hands-on with tools and equipment while receiving on-the-job training to support production and testing requirements. Education & Job Requirements
* You must have
* A high school diploma or GED.
* A minimum of 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* An understanding of basic mechanical and electrical methods with a technical background.
* Weld experience, including friction stir welding experience.
* Hands-on experience working with tools, machines, wires, and adhesives.
* Experience performing basic electrical tasks such as wire stripping, repinning, working with shielded wires, and using torque wrenches and power screwdrivers.
* Experience performing mechanical tasks such as drilling through hardware, installing brackets, and using drill guns.
* Technical aptitude with the ability to adapt, remain flexible, and learn new processes.
* Willingness to complete required training lasting up to 3 to 4 weeks, depending on experience level.
* U.S. Person status for export compliance purposes.
* Availability to work overtime and weekends as required by business needs. Job Duties & Functions
* You will be able
* Perform machine setup, machining, wiring, and electrical setup and checks.
* Assemble, repair, modify, and install wire harnesses and avionics products.
* Prepare test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices to support testing activities.
* Perform basic mechanical and electrical preparation tasks and verification.
* Use power drills, adhesives, wrenches, and other hand and power tools safely and effectively.
* Support electrical fabrication tasks, including harness work and hardware installation.
* Support mechanical fabrication tasks, including drilling and structural component installation.
* Participate in on-the-job training within assigned work areas.
* Comply with safety, quality, and operational procedures at all times. Physical Requirements
* Able to
* Lift up to 15 pounds.
* Wear safety glasses and required personal protective equipment.
* Meet mask or respirator requirements as determined by the assigned work area.
* Qualify to wear a fall protection harness with a 350-pound weight restriction.
* Complete required eye examinations for electrical fabrication roles.
* Obtain crane certification if desired during training, if applicable to assigned duties.
