THE WORK
The selected candidate will work as a Conformal Coating Operator handling complex applications, some of the main everyday tasks are:
Cover components (connectors, switches) that must stay free of coating.
Application – Apply coating using spray guns, brushes, or dipping processes.
Quality Control – Verify uniform coverage, often with UV light.
Curing & Rework – Run curing ovens and repair any coating defects.
Conformal Coating– Manually spray or dip PCBs and operate automated, computer controlled coating equipment (e.g., PVA machines).

WHO YOU ARE
You possess manufacturing knowledge, are adept at using hand tools, can proficiently read technical drawings to ensure an accurate and efficient assembly processes.

Basic Qualifications:
- 1 or more year of experience in coating operations

- Proficiency in manual application techniques (brushing, syringes).

- Understanding of inspection principles.
Desired Skills:
- High attention to detail and high dexterity skills

- Must be able to read and write in English

- Knowledge of electronics is preferred

- Must be able to interpret work instructions
Rework, assemble, and debug printed circuit board assemblys (PCBAs)

- Inspect incoming boards to IPC-610 Class 2/3 standards
Apply, remove, and rework conformal coating, staking, and other polymeric adhesives

- Lead form components to match engineering footprints and drawings

- Work with cross functional engineering team to support new developments

- Collaborate with design engineers to develop and document future activities

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
