Position Summary
The purpose of the Lead is to assist the Value Stream Team Leaders and/or Managers with the daily activities of their shift. They will help assure that their shift is functioning at the highest levels possible and help communicate the daily, weekly and monthly requirements and expectations of the production Value Streams. The Leader will be involved in most of the aspects of running the operations of the shift they are assigned. They will be involved with safety, communications, training and development, lean, (HPT) high performance teams, tracking and audits, continuous improvement efforts and scheduling the flow of products through the area. They will provide valuable feedback to Supervisors and Managers regarding performance of the work stream and the progress of employees within the VS.
Qualifications
Production work preferred but not required Strong analytical & quantitative skills Excellent communication skills Understand metrics related to business or value stream Ability to work overtime when necessary Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office package Ability to lift up to 30 pounds Ability to work well in a team environment Employee must pass Pre-employment screening
