Key Responsibilities
- Support continuous improvements of the systems through collaborating with business teams to understand the business directions and requirements for managing portfolio pipeline of initiatives and priorities
- Ensure the system design complies with Airline and IT regulations and standards while meeting business needs
- Manage various internal and external IT teams to ensure smooth operations of the IT solutions supporting the business operations and growth
- Oversee the delivery of IT solutions with managing timelines, resources and budget while ensuring the quality and adherence to IT governance
- Coach and mentor IT teammates with the IT best practices in solution delivery and contribute to the community of practice within Cathay IT
- Communicate effectively on IT related activities with all stakeholders
- Explore new technology trends and make recommendations to business teams as appropriate and foster innovations
Requirements
- Degree qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology related discipline
- Minimum 6 years of IT experience with hands-on solution delivery experience in large scale projects
- Experience in project delivery in agile / scrum methodology is essential
- Knowledge in mobile technology including programming language in Native iOS
- Experience with AWS/Azure cloud platforms is a must
- Hands-on experience in React Native and Android is a plus
- Proven verbal and written communication skills to build healthy relationships with internal and external stakeholders including vendors and airport community
- Professional, passionate, innovative, self-motivated and able to present solutions to diverse groups of stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, leveraging both logic and creativity based on facts
- Proven troubleshooting skills; ability to identify patterns and generate ideas
- Airline or travel industry knowledge is highly beneficial
- Willingness to undertake business travels as required
