Arconic is currently in search of a Shop Team Lead to join our Kawneer Building and Construction Systems Team in Orlando, FL.

SUMMARY: Oversees, and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating machinery, fabricating, and packaging Custom doors and frames by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES included but not limited to the following.
- Adhere to all Kawneer rules and regulations.
- Confers with supervisors and leads of other departments to coordinate flow of materials or products.
- Verifies or prepares records such as material requisitions, MDR forms, and incident reporting.
- Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Interprets job orders to workers and assigns duties accordingly.
- Works with O/Ps manager to establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or work crew.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
- Maintains time and production records.
- Conducts departmental meetings regarding safety, department changes, and company communications.
- Can perform all duties of those within the department.
- Flex in the line and work where needed.
- Uses JDE system to back flush orders, transfer materials, check order status, etc.
- Participates in daily team leader meetings.
- Oversees and assists with preventative maintenance of all equipment within the department.
- Tracks material needed to complete work orders
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- One to six years related work experience is preferred.
- Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets documents such as, operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondents.
- Ability to effectively communicate with other employees and supervisors.
- Ability to count, to add, to subtract and to multiply simple numbers.
