Job overview and responsibilities

This role is responsible for delivering all aspects of the recruting function including but not limited to candidate sourcing, resume reviews, candidate screening and selection, interview coordination and maintaining accurate system records. This role assists in promoting a strong employment brand and ensuring a positive candidate experience by creating a high touch environment. Builds and maintains relationships with clients to ensure staffing needs are met with regard to managing all sourcing, selection and hiring of talent through set metrics.

  • Lead discussions with hiring managers to source and fill open positions
  • Activities include candidate sourcing (both internal and external), screening resumes, attending recruitment job fairs, school and/or community based recruitment events or other externally focused efforts, and interview coordination
  • Sourcing activities may include creation of an internal and/or external job posting, employee referrals, website advertising or other sourcing methods
  • Assess candidates to determine if their capabilities match the job requirements
  • Activities may include telephone-based or in-person interviews or administering pre-placement testing
  • Reviews information gained about the candidate(s) and decides whether or not to interview candidate and recommend to hiring manager
  • Conduct debrief sessions with hiring manager to discuss candidate qualifications
  • Activities may include reviewing test data, interviewer’s recommendations or leading/participating in selection decision-making meetings for internal teams
  • Facilitates the placement of qualified candidates
  • Maintains complete and accurate staffing documentation as required by law
  • Updates information in United’s applicant tracking systems to ensure compliance and accuracy of metrics
  • Interfaces with Talent Acquisition Center as appropriate to process candidates and fill positions

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Unless subject to a collective bargaining agreement in the country to which an employee is being transferred; the employee retains their original date of employment and company seniority in the new country. Upon transfer, the employee is removed from payroll and benefits in former country and appropriately placed in the salary range and payroll / benefits systems of the new country.

Human Resources will assist with the terms and conditions of employment in light of labor agreements, collective agreements, country work rules and labor laws. In the new country, the employee is reinstated using the same employee id, date of employment and company seniority dates.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s in Human Resources
  • 6 or more years of HR/Recruiting experience
  • Demonstrated good judgment and confidentiality
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service orientation
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, highly team-oriented environment
  • Excellent time management, follow-through and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and ability to build relationships with all levels of personnel required
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy and ability to delegate work as needed
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information required
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work in a team environment
  • Ability to quickly assess candidate’s skills/qualifications and attributes and make placements/recommendations as appropriate
  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Masters degree
  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), in Human Resources
  • Ability to design and track meaningful operational metrics preferred
  • Prior experience in leading a team
