Are you ready to go beyond?What You Will Do:As a Quality Assurance and Improvement Manager, you are responsible to ensue that the quality of products, processes, and services from PWES and P&WC afterspanet network and customer service are compliant with internal and regulatory requirements and are continuously improving. The Quality Assurance and Improvement Manager will manage and conduct quality system and process audits to validate conformance as it relates to PWC and NAA regulation and procedures. As a QA Improvement Manager, you will raise non-conformances and conduct follow ups on RFA closure including evaluation of (RCCA) Root Cause Corrective Actions to ensure preventive measures are appropriate, robust, and permanent. In addition, you will ensure corrective action resolutions are completed within prescribed deadlines and may act as liaison/facilitator with other internal or external auditors (i.e., Enterprise Quality Audit Team (EQAT), National Aviation Authority (NAA), Customer, Registrar, etc.).

Your Responsibilities:

  • Leads team of Chief Inspectors in support of the Regional Service Center Network/Mobile Repair Technicians
  • Manages satellites and supports the business development plan strategies
  • Audits MRO Service centers, to identify improvement opportunities and help standardize processes
  • Audits MRO suppliers, to identify improvement opportunities and drive improvement plans
  • Monitors the advancement of open non-conformance raised to ensure associated stakeholders follow-through with RFA-related tasks in a timely manner
  • Develops and leads implementation of data-driven quality initiative strategies
  • Prepares for and participates in various Quality meetings (e.g., monthly OPR meetings), to keep abreast of updates, current issues, determine priorities, address open actions, KPI analysis and trending, etc.
  • Supports afterspanet supplier qualification / certification
  • Proactively supports the RTX CORE program to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability
  • Drives continuous improvement projects across the Network to improve efficiency and reduce costs, using CORE tools
  • Supports regulatory inquiries and develops processes and procedures to meet regulatory requirements efficiently
  • 25 Travel Required

Basic Qualifications:

  • University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AS9100 / AS9110 Lead Auditor certification
  • Airframe and Powerplant License
  • Experience with process walk and product audit

This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
