The Power Plant Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance program, troubleshooting, and repair of the power plant systems on the various aircraft. The candidate will work closely with the engineering team to ensure that all engines and related power plant systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry regulations. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring aircraft readiness and operational safety. This position will establish the standards for the issuance of Engineering Orders related to the engines, APUs and propellers, and design the maintenance program based on the
documentation of the aircraft manufacturers in compliance with the Type Certificate.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will also ensure compliance with the applicable regulations, industry standards, operational experience, business needs, and current regulatory requirements. He/She will establish aeronautical standards to measure and control the mechanical performance of aircraft, engines and functional systems, in compliance with applicable regulations.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• A Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in power plant engineering, specifically in aviation or aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft engines, turbines, and related power systems.
• Familiarity with aviation maintenance regulations.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Relevant certifications, endorsements on ATR 42-500 or 72-212A series are a plus.
