Overview

Job Summary

Responsible for the daily operation of aircraft completions including avionics installations and sheet metal installations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

• Define, coordinate and prioritize workflow based on department requirements and employee schedules.
• Monitor productivity and adherence to budgetary requirements.
• Ensure and maintain a safe and productive work environment. Show compliance to FAA CRS and OSHA requirements.
• Participate in weekly program status meetings.
• Provide hours and materials estimates for proposals.
• Coordinate and communicate with other Manufacturing departments, Engineering, and Materials.
• Ensure visibility and adherence to AMC corporate policies and procedures.
• Define, implement, and initiate activities associated with quality and continuous improvement.
• Recommend and maintain the facility to accomplish the divisional objects.
• Coordinate and maintain machines and tooling for manufacturing.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises employees in the Maintenance department. Carries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. For Exempt Managers: Managers that carry out these responsibilities for two or more employees will have significant input in hiring and termination decisions.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education & Experience

• Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and eight or more years aircraft manufacturing/fabrication or completions environment related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrated previous technical knowledge of the specified departments supervised.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of collaboration at all levels.
• Good oral and written communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage several projects concurrently while setting standards of excellence under pressure.

Computer Skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant Certificate or necessary qualifications to obtain FAA Repairman certificate. Both conditions above must be applicable to the work being supervised
  • FAA Repairmans Certificate or Pilots License held previously or currently

Pay Range
USD $74,100.00 - USD $111,125.00 /Yr.
