We have an outstanding opportunity for an analyst in Operational Analytics at our East Hartford, CT Campus.
The GTF OA team provides shop visit forecasts and analysis to support the sales and MRO activities of the Commercial Engines and GTF Afterspanet business. As regional lead you will help develop, analyze, negotiate, and manage multi-million-dollar sales and maintenance contracts. You will be the primary OA’s POC for a specific region for both the sales and fleet management teams.
OA is a great place to learn about the intricacies of the Commercial Engines business while immediately contributing to its success. This position would be a great fit if you are a technically focused person looking to broaden your experience with more business exposure, or if you have business experience and would like to apply it in a more technical/analytical setting.
As part of the team, you will have regular exposure to executive management and work closely with many groups within Commercial Engines. You will gain insight into the decision-making process driving Commercial Engines business and will be challenged to perform your best in this fast-paced atmosphere.
What You Will Do:
Work as an analyst in the P&W CE GTF Afterspanet organization as part of the OA group.
Use proprietary Monte Carlo simulations running on a high-performance computing platform to generate and analyze forecasts that reflect the specific details of each individual contract to support sales campaigns and contract management
Understand the impact of contractual obligations, maintenance practices, and technical performance of the engine
Offer strategic insight to implement the best solutions and optimize value for both P&W and the customer.
Demonstrate effective communication to explain technical details, present analytical results, and review contracts.
Integrate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Programs, Legal, Engineering, and other departments.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelors degree in engineering, statistics or similar field
A minimum of 8 years of professional work experience in Engineering, Aerospace or Math and Statistics or analytical experience.
Familiarity with developing and interpreting statistical models
Experience running simulations using high-performance computing platforms (Monte Carlo)
Experience documenting and clearly communicate forecast results to a wider team
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or MS Preferred
Thorough understanding of and interaction with computer mathematical modeling processes as applied to simulation modeling and analysis.
Experience developing, reviewing or working with complex modeling concepts
Strong business acumen to approach business issues from multiple functional and or operational perspectives
Knowledge of jet engine operation and maintenance business
Proficiency in MS Office

This role is:

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
