Government Contracts Manager I in GAC Savannah
Unique Skills:
Strong verbal and written comunication skills and ability to deal effectively with personnel at all levels
All aspects of contract managment and administration, especially negotiation, compliance and change management - FAR/DFARS familiarity/experience a plus
Support proposal activities to ensure compliance with solicitation requirements and company policies and procedures
Provide contract support to Program Office during program execution (operations/managed programs)
Support Import/Export compliance
Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. person and qualified to obtain a Government security clearance. Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); SharePoint and Power BI a plus
Position is located in Savannah, GA; position is not available for remote work.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 5 years Contracts administration or related experience. Advanced degree in related field may offset one year of experience requirement.

Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Conducts negotiations, reviews, and management of contracts .
- Supports proposal activities to ensure compliance with solicitation requirements and policies and procedures .
- Reviews and coordinates approvals of contractual documents for protection of company's contractual position, satisfaction of customer specifications and requirements, and adherence to company policy .
- Advises leadership and other functions of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions .
- Acts as the primary interface with customers including fact-finding, audits, and formal contract negotiations .
- Acts as a focal point with other departments for resolution of problems regarding contracts .
- Manages contract change process and works with Program Management, Engineering, Finance and other disciplines to mitigate performance risk .
- Assists with the development of subcontract statements of work and flow-down of mandatory or otherwise necessary/prudent terms and conditions from a business and contract perspective .
- Ensures compliance with all export requirements - ITAR/EAR .
- Ensures compliance with company policies, laws and regulations .
Additional Functions:
- Collaborates and works well cross-functionally throughout the business .
Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements:
- Subject matter expert in FAR/DFAR contracting requirements, compliance and emerging issues.
- Experience in DCS efforts and FMF processes/reporting.
- Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with personnel at all levels.
- Possesses strong computer skills (Microsoft Office), Sharepoint to support communications and business needs.
- Demonstrates strong self-motivation and able to exercise prudent business judgment in matters of business importance.
- Demonstrates strong decision-making ability, negotiation skills and leadership competencies.
- Demonstrates practiced adeptness in all areas of contracts administration.
- Contracts Management experience in commercial experience along with government contract law.
- Proven ability to take an entrepreneurial approach and demonstrated negotiation skills, in successfully closing on a variety of Government, International, and Commercial endeavors.
- Must interact effectively with all levels of internal and external customers.
- Experience in the development/creation, negotiation and administration of various government and commercial contracts and agreements.
- International contracts experience a plus.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. person and qualified to obtain a Government security clearance. Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize and close actions before deadlines as required.
- Must be proficient in MS tool set. Experience with Sharepoint and Power BI a plus.
