Role Introduction
Reports to: Aircraft Fuel Procurement Manager
The role is part of a global team in our Procurement and Aircraft Trading (APD) department who are dedicated to creating strong partnerships which help us understand the cost drivers and remove non value-adding cost, creating brand value through a compliant, ethical and sustainable manner that balances business needs and corporate responsibility.
As the Fuel Infrastructure and Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for the definition of the sourcing strategies for fuel uplift in Hong Kong and the outports, and for managing the supplier relationship management process adhering to quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the fuel procurement and commercial strategy for Hong Kong and other outports within the Cathay Group network
- Manage fuel sourcing projects and suppliers relationship to ensure optimal results
- Conduct spanet analysis and identify trends that may positively or negatively impact the company
- Develop and implement new fuel supply procedures
- Foster a high-performance culture and standards within Procurement and Aircraft Trading Department (APD) community
- Identify and execute long-term LEAN projects that benefit the category strategy
Requirements
- 5 years relevant fuel supply, operations and/or refueling management experience.
- University graduate in related discipline.
- Procurement and Category Management experience is essential.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and basic contract law.
- Excellent people skills; including the ability to negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of finance/accounting principles.
- Ability to inspire and build trust and respect among the APD community.
- Demonstrated ability to define and implement strategies.
- Performance management skills.
- Approachable and decisive.
