In this role will offer you the following daily responsibilities:
• As a Documentation and Configuration Management Representative supporting the Documentation and Configuration Management team, you will be responsible for developing high-quality documentation products and performing document revisions through coordination of reviews and comment resolution.
• You will use your technical writing expertise, organizational and time management skills, communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office to contribute effectively to key documentation efforts.
• Additionally, you will collaborate closely with technical staff (facility design, systems engineering) to develop and review a variety of documents, such as design specifications, engineering reports, and programmatic plans, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of technical content.
Although this position does support some teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Cape Canaveral SFS, FL , and be expected to work in the office as needed
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
• Documentation Quality: Ability to create high-quality documentation products, ensuring accuracy and completeness through effective coordination of reviews and comment resolution.
• Industry Knowledge: Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards, including document control processes, configuration management protocols, compliance with ISO standards, and technical documentation best practices. Ability to apply standard concepts and principles in daily tasks.
• Technical Writing Skills: Demonstrated evidence of strong technical writing abilities, including the capability to clearly articulate complex technical information.
• Microsoft Office Proficiency: Intermediate to expert proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of technical documentation and configuration management deliverables.
• Document Management Systems Proficiency: Experience with Document Management Systems (DMS) or Configuration Management tools (e.g., Windchill, SharePoint) to organize technical documents, track changes, maintain version control, and support effective documentation and change management processes.
• Continuous Improvement Mindset: Interest in process improvement, contributing to better documentation and change management practices over time.
• Editing and Technical Writing: Experience in developing, editing, and reviewing technical documents, such as design specifications, engineering reports, and programmatic plans, to ensure high-quality, professional results.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Change Management Experience: Experience in formal change control boards or processes, assisting in the proper implementation of technical changes or procedural updates.
• FBM Program Knowledge: Knowledge of Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program operations is highly desirable, including an understanding of its processes and objectives.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
