Business Relationship Manager

The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Business Relationship Manager who brings demonstrated leadership, extensive technical and business expertise, and a proven track record in strategic management for a full-time permanent role based in Brisbane. This role is pivotal in fostering effective business relationship management with strategic partners and stakeholders outside the Digital and Information Management (IM) sectors. Serving as a “trusted advisor,” the Business Relationship Manager acts as a vital liaison between IM/Digital teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment and facilitating seamless collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure strategic vision alignment between Digital, IM, and Airbus in Australia and New Zealand.
- Advocate on behalf of business stakeholders to guarantee Digital and IM services align with business priorities.
- Establish and nurture productive relationships with peers and business leaders to create a balanced, prioritised backlog of transformational and continuity objectives.
- Identify areas for improvement and proactively activate Digital and IM functions.
- Identify initial areas of cost savings and facilitate any necessary escalations.
- Report and communicate Digital and IM performance to business stakeholders.
- Act as a Proximity Manager for co-located team members, supporting local and transnational managers with employee engagement, career development, and operational alignment.
- Lead a team of IM Professional across Australia and New Zealand
- Act as a coach and mentor to support career growth.
- Lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) for New Zealand, providing guidance, budget management support, and strategic topic escalation.

Essential Expertise:
- 5 – 10 years of experience in IT and/or management.
- Ability to manage high-complexity projects and support group programs.
- Proven experience aligning IT and business strategy.
- Proficiency in service documentation, service level management, and change management.
- Comprehensive understanding of cross-functional and cross-divisional strategy, requirements, and regulations.
- Strong user service orientation and ability to maintain high user satisfaction levels.
- Effective communication and report management skills.
- Data governance and conformance expertise.
- Proven ability to enhance services based on user feedback and foster strong user relationships.
Desirable Expertise:
- Degree in IT/Information Management or a related field.
- Industry certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF, or related.
- Experience in IT/business change management.
