We are seeking an experienced and results-driven professional to manage airport operations, ensuring they are conducted safely, efficiently, and in line with Emirates’ commercial, safety, and service standards. The role requires strong leadership and operational expertise to maintain high levels of passenger service, particularly during disruptions, while ensuring that all KPIs, service level agreements, and on-time performance targets are consistently achieved.
The role involves implementing and reviewing operational strategies to ensure compliance with airport service procedures and standards, while driving ground handling performance across areas such as punctuality, check-in, and baggage services. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with handling agents, airport authorities, and service providers to identify and resolve operational challenges. They will be responsible for maintaining safety and security standards across all aspects of the operation, leading and developing teams, and ensuring a disciplined and motivated workforce. Additionally, the role includes managing administrative functions such as reporting, performance evaluations, and complaint investigations, while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement. The candidate will also oversee emergency planning, represent Emirates at official forums, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure cost-effective operations through budgeting, performance monitoring, and strategic analysis.
QualificationThe ideal candidate will be qualified to an advanced level in passenger services, ground operations, baggage claims, reservations and ticketing, as well as weight and balance. A minimum of several years of experience in airport passenger handling and operations is required, including at least five years in a managerial capacity. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of flight planning and relevant aspects of meteorology, as well as proficiency in key operational and administrative systems. e.g. Reservations, Baggage Tracing, and various software packages used by the Company, such as Word, Excel, etc Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure while demonstrating a high level of initiative.
