Job Description:
The AMO Part 145 Manager is responsible for controlling the quality of work in the Aircraft Maintenance operations areas. Managing the work load on the workshop floor (FAGC) and ensuring sufficient manpower where needed per project by prioritizing tasks. The AMO Part 145 Manager will also be the direct link between MRO and other departments in order to ensure one point of communication and instruction.

Main Responsibilities:
Ensuring that all maintenance is carried out in accordance with local legislation and company rules as defined in Civil Regulations 145, Company Quality Manual, Manual of Procedure and any other internal procedures issued.
Maintaining high quality standards and enhance aviation safety by encouraging hazard and incident reporting.
Usage of relevant maintenance documentation during execution of tasks and accurate completion of maintenance documentation (Including work packs).
Ensure efficient functioning of the maintenance areas.
Provide specialised services to Airbus Southern Africa for the interpretation of the technical standards applicable.
Ensure all maintenance actions are performed in accordance with the relevant manufacturer’s component/part manuals, applicable Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, Service Letters or Instructions and any other authorised Technical Publications.
Ensure that the conditions prescribed in the applicable Maintenance Schedules are fully complied with.
Control a surveillance system to monitor the work carried out on aircraft, engines and equipment in order to maintain the highest standards of inspection, overhaul, repair, replacement, modification, testing and recording and processes.
Releasing all complete work with the correct certification in a suitable time frame.
Compliance with CAR’s, AH standards, AZA Manual of Procedure, Quality Manual and Manufacturer’s airworthiness requirements.
Identify, formulate and perform scheduled in-house training on all related topics inclusive of SIR’s and AZA Manual of Procedure.
Assigning and managing sufficient staff to meet the milestones set for the project.
Responsible for informing the Chief Pilot and production planners of first Ground runs/flight times/dates.
Monitor the number of man hours utilized.
Managing bay availability for helicopter maintenance
Monitoring of aircraft servicing schedule.
Ensure that project boards are up to date.
