We provide end-to-end medical transportation as well as fire services, integrated healthcare solutions and disaster response.

JOB SUMMARY
Variable depends on project/ portfolio, but examples include safety, communications, aviation, business development /marketing, education/quality, revenue cycle, regulatory agencies and internal and external customers and partners to include patients and med crews.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
• Assists the VP of Flight Operations and the Director of Operations in formulating operations policies and coordinates those policies.
• Confirms that all aircraft are properly equipped for applicable operations.
• Serves as a liaison between Med-Trans and our partners.
• Disseminates information to all crewmembers pertaining to company policies and regulations; Manages subscriptions and dissemination of Sectionals, Airport Facility Directories, En Route Low Altitude Charts and approach plates.
• Coordinates with the Director of Operations to confirm all aircraft have Rotorcraft Flight Manuals and all applicable changes on board.
• Maintains proficiency as Pilot-in-Command.
• Schedules flight crewmembers, including assigning Pilot-in-Command duties.
• He will review flight schedules, duty time records prepared by the Regional/Base Aviation Managers.
• Submits all reports regarding flight personnel to the Director of Operations.
• Keeps the aircraft copies of this General Operations Manual current. He can delegate this task to the Base Aviation Manager for an aircraft permanently assigned to a given base.
• Confirms that all flight crew personnel are certified and supervised according to the requirements specified in the Federal Aviation Regulations.
• The Chief Pilot can sign sections A, B, C and H of the Operations Specifications.
• Direct supervisor for Regional Aviation Managers and Pilot Recruiter(s) and oversees all personnel actions for the pilot group.
• Maintains comprehensive records on all personnel actions for the pilot staff
• Monitors pilot payroll and overtime expenses
• Monitors and manages base level expenses
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Required Education, Experience, Licenses, Certifications, and Special Qualifications:
• Commercial / Instrument Pilot Certificate
• 3 years’ experience, within the past 6 years, as PIC of an aircraft operated under Part 135
• Must qualify and maintain currency as a Pilot in Command
• Knowledgeable in aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
• Knowledgeable in 14 CFR Chapter 1 (Federal Aviation Regulations)
• Knowledgeable in Certificate Operations Specifications
• Knowledgeable in Certificate General Operations Manual
• Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Education, Experience, Licenses, and or Certifications:
• 5 years helicopter air ambulance experience preferred
• Helicopter IFR experience preferred
• 5 years management experience preferred

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
• Computer Skills (Word/Excel/Powerpoint)
• Report writing
• Budget planning and management 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Working Hours:
• Minimum 40 hour work week with evening and weekend on-call.

Physical and/or Cognitive Requirements:
• Must maintain a current Class II FAA Medical Certificate

Working Conditions:
• Travel also required.
