Reporting to the tank build Crew Lead. Working within a team environment in manufacturing the Q400 RDS tank using advanced sheet metal skills. You are also expected to be able to operate independently and exercise sound judgment and refer unusual situations to the Crew Leader / lead hand. Responsibilities may be extended to other to departments based on operational needs.In this role your duties include:Responsible for carrying out increasingly complex tasks in fabrication, installation, repair and modifications of aircraft parts.Cooperates with other in a team enviornment to promote efficiency, project coordination and schedule accuracy.Adhering to Conair safety regulation, policies and procedures while performing their dutiesActs as a team player while assisting fellow employees in the performance of their duties in a professional and courteous manner;Assist in troubleshooting discrepancies which arise within assigned work;Ensure all paperwork within their scope is completed in an accurate, timely matter and adheres to the Company Policy/Procedures manual and CARs;Work independently and take initiative in problem-solving situations out of the ordinary; Able to interpreting drawings, EOs, and other engineering documents accurately which support the tank build program;May include traveling to vendor and customer locations during critical phases of a project or program;Other related duties as assigned.We are looking for someone with:Knowledge of aircraft Sheet Metal properties, applications and associated limitations;Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required;Problem solver, analytical and a team player;Training/Education:Grade 12 and formalised training in the aircraft structures trade;A minimum of 5 years experience as a structures technician is essential;Holder of an valid AME ‘S’ license preferred.
