Role Summary
* This position is responsible for inspecting, repairing, modifying, and fabricating aircraft structural components with a strong focus on sheet metal and composite repairs. The role supports heavy maintenance and modification activities while ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards in a demanding production environment.Education & Job Requirements
* You must have
* A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
* A minimum of 3 to 5 years of structural sheet metal repair and modification experience or sustained similar experience.
* Corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft experience.
* CRJ airframe experience.
* MRO or heavy maintenance experience.
* Military aircraft maintenance experience, including Depot, Isochronal, or Phase inspections, if formerly in the military.
* An FAA Airframe and Powerplant license or an FAA Airframe license.
* A personal set of tools.
* The ability to effectively communicate aircraft maintenance actions in English, both verbally and in writing.
* The ability to work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.Job Duties & Functions
* You will be able
* Perform thorough inspections of aircraft structures and identify and document signs of damage or wear.
* Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
* Execute sheet metal repairs and modifications on structural components, including wing, fuselage, and tail sections.
* Fabricate and modify structural components and aircraft parts.
* Perform minor structural repairs on composite components, whether attached or detached.
* Perform mechanical and electrical removals and installations as required.
* Interpret and follow aircraft maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical specifications.
* Assist with complex structural repairs both on and off aircraft.
* Utilize precision measuring tools and equipment to ensure accurate repairs and regulatory compliance.
* Inspect confined areas of the airframe.
* Remain current on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to aviation structural maintenance.
