Join our team as an Assembly Technician, where you will work on the 2nd shift from 2pm to 12:30am, Monday through Thursday, with overtime opportunities on Fridays and potentially on Saturdays. You will be responsible for assembling, modifying, and installing aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and structural assemblies according to customer specifications. Your role will include identifying nonconforming parts and ensuring quality throughout the assembly process.

• Work with blueprints, specifications, and work orders to assemble components meeting quality requirements.
• Gather and complete required data to facilitate assembly progress.
• Set up and operate various shop equipment, such as squeezes, precision measuring tools, drill motors, and countersink cutters.
• Troubleshoot problems during assembly and continuously seek process improvements.
• Perform required rework or changes during the assembly process.
• Assemble major components of sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and smaller bench work assemblies.
• Move and obtain correct parts, materials, tools, and assemblies as needed.

• High school diploma or GED, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six months of vocational training preferred.
• Proficiency with forklifts, drill presses, floor-mounted rivet presses, and overhead cranes.
• Time management skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints.
• Effective verbal communication regarding work processes.
• Ability to write and record process information.

• Experience with sheet metal, complex assembly, and structures mechanic work.
• Five years of experience in complex assembly and structures.
• Previous experience with Spirit, Boeing, Textron, or Cessna preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
