Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Vice President of Avionics Maintenance to lead our client’s maintenance department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in aircraft maintenance, with a proven track record in senior management positions within Part 145 repair stations. Technical expertise in aircraft parts and components is essential, and experience with defense contractors is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the maintenance department, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize maintenance operations, improve efficiency, and drive business growth.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Oversee all aspects of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Direct and coordinate maintenance operations to meet customer deadlines and service level agreements.
- Manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and facilities, to support efficient and effective maintenance operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and contracts to expand the company's maintenance services.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for the maintenance department.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to track financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency measures to optimize departmental profitability.
- Act as the FAA Designated Accountable Manager, responsible for all repair station operations that are conducted under Part 145, including ensuring that repair station personnel follow the regulations and serving as the primary contact with the FAA.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial avionics maintenance, with at least 5 years in a senior management position within a Part 145 repair station.
- Strong technical expertise in aircraft parts, components, and maintenance procedures.
- Experience working with defense contractors is preferred.
