JOB PURPOSE:
To garner maintenance customers outside of the company and to maintain their airplanes through thorough, accurate inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and/or scheduled maintenance, while keeping in accordance with FAA rules, regulations, and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that retail customers’ aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition
- Accurately complete all inspections, repairs, and component changes and ensure these are completed in accordance with manufacturer or FAA-approved procedures
- Comply with all maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- Coordinate with maintenance contracting agencies when maintenance activities are being performed on customers’ aircraft
- Generate leads on potential customers and work to earn their business
- Maintain all necessary work records and logbooks
- Comply with all company policies and manager directives regarding safety
- Track parts used, time spent, and any other billable expense accurately for billing to customer
- Review and bill out customer invoices in a timely manner; follow up with customer if the bill is not paid in a timely manner
- Estimate labor hours, parts expenses, and other costs in order to provide customers with accurate quotes on retail maintenance work
- Maintain professional, positive working relationships with customers
