Education & Job Requirements
* You must have:
* Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience working on aircraft final assembly and system installation, including at least 1 year on Bombardier aircraft models.
* Thorough knowledge of mechanical aircraft systems.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering documents.
* Ability to operate ground support equipment.
* Working knowledge of electrical aircraft systems.
* Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
* Ability to read system schematics.
* Understanding of safety and operating procedures for power-on aircraft.
* Ability to obtain and renew certifications, including CFC certification.
* Ability to achieve sufficient technical qualifications to acquire product verification certification.
* Ability to recognize potential electrical hazards to prevent injury to self or others. Preferred Skills
* You will have:
* Experience in troubleshooting, modifying, and repairing mechanical aircraft systems and airframes.
* Knowledge of multiple aircraft hydraulic-mechanical systems and environmental control systems.
* Ability to simulate ground and flight conditions using aircraft systems and ground support equipment. Job Duties & Functions
* You will be able to:
* Adhere to general work requirements and safety procedures.
* Service various aircraft systems, including hydraulic systems, high-pressure air/nitrogen/oxygen systems, anti-ice systems, ECS, emergency pneumatic systems, primary/secondary flight control systems, baggage compartment leak rate, and oxygen systems per applicable aircraft model.
* Perform functional tests simulating ground and flight conditions on aircraft mechanical systems.
* Weigh the aircraft to obtain the empty aircraft weight.
* Assist with troubleshooting and repairing aircraft hydraulic-mechanical systems to the component level.
* Inspect, identify, and repair aircraft parts, components, and systems located in close-out areas.
* Assemble and install aircraft components, including fitted parts, sheet metal assemblies, component racks, batteries, and crew/slave equipment.
* Complete aircraft paperwork and prepare aircraft for turn to flight.
* Assist with jacking and moving aircraft and/or equipment to the next station.
* Analyze hydraulic fluid for contamination on applicable aircraft models and ground support equipment.
* Support other areas in functional testing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical components as problems arise.
* Assist other employees in performing their duties within the area(s) of qualification.
* Modify aircraft systems and airframe in accordance with engineering specifications.
