Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute and conduct sump heat transfer analysis, flow analysis per engineering design practices and procedures to meet the product requirements
  • Execute and/or support ongoing new program validation efforts
  • Present key technical presentations to product stakeholders including any impact to business objectives
  • Complete documentation of technical data for the assigned projects
  • Use Lean tools for problem solving, contribute and adhere to daily management routine, standard work activities and work aligned with KPIs and metrics.
  • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work would include mechanical and/or electrical engineering for all products
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
  • A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members

Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc degrees in Aerospace/Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering departments from an accredited college or university
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Aviation Engineering positions
  • Experience and/or strong knowledge in mechanical, gas turbine or propulsion design fundamentals
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated skills in utilizing multiple engineering tools, UG NX etc.
  • Strong cross-functional teaming, coordination and communication skills
  • Highly motivated, self-starter who is passionate about inventing the next generation of aviation technology
  • Demonstrated accountability, ownership skills and diligence in meeting commitments within tight and fluctuation schedules
  • Ability to work with multiple global organizations and program leaders collaboratively
