At StandardAero, we don’t just offer jobs — we build careers grounded in integrity, accountability, and technical excellence. You’ll work in a clean, safe, and professional environment where quality comes first, supported by experienced leaders and on-the-job training that sets you up for long-term success.

If you take pride in precision, regulatory compliance, and ensuring airworthiness, this is your opportunity to make a measurable impact on aircraft safety and reliability.

Position Overview

As an NDT Level II Inspector, you will perform approved non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections — including Fluorescent Penetrant (FPI), Magnetic Particle (MPI), Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, and Visual Inspection — to support the servicing and repair of gas turbine engines, aircraft components, parts, and accessories.

All inspections must be conducted in accordance with the Repair Station Manual, FAA regulations (Part 145), manufacturer specifications, approved technical data, and StandardAero policies and procedures.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform designated NDT inspections in compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer requirements, and StandardAero procedures.
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain NDT equipment; conduct daily operational checks to ensure equipment readiness.
  • Prepare components for inspection using approved processes and techniques.
  • Ensure preliminary, hidden damage, progressive, and final inspections are completed and properly documented prior to product release.
  • Complete in-process and final inspections on overhauled or repaired engines, accessories, appliances, and components before shipment.
  • Plan workload to meet production schedules in coordination with Production and Engineering teams.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to NDT personnel as needed.
  • Review and evaluate technical data to confirm applicability to inspection procedures; revise procedures when required to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Support development of salvage schemes and prevent release of defective or unairworthy parts.
  • Complete required inspection documentation and statistical reporting.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and team efficiency.
  • Support warranty evaluations and technical investigations as required.
  • Prepare detailed investigation and production reports.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Documented on-the-job training in Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI).
  • Current or previous Level II Certification (required).
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and apply technical manuals, work specifications, and service bulletins as verified through training records, certification, or assessment.
  • Must pass general, specific, and practical examinations for applicable NDT methods (minimum 80 average, 70 minimum per exam).
  • Must be certifiable to NAS 410.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must meet U.S. Persons requirements under ITAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to pass required NDT and inspection eye examinations.
  • Experience across multiple NDT methods, including fluorescent penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, eddy current, and visual inspections in an aerospace MRO environment.
  • Working knowledge of FAA Part 145 inspection regulations.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 or other applicable regulatory standards.
