GU Technical Lab Instructor - Sheet Metal in GAC Savannah


Unique Skills:

This position requires the candidate to be highly knowledgeable in working with sheet metal and capable of delivering training to technicians on various repair procedures. Therefore, the 5 years of related maintenance experience that is required needs to be associated with sheet metal. Lab instructor will also be required to support lab initiatives maintain existing aids and develop new training aids to support the sites needs. Brunswick will be the primary assignment however will be required to travel regularly between both Brunswick and Savannah training labs to support site needs.


Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required. 5 years related maintenance experience and technical training.

Position Purpose:

Works with Training to assist in the development and training of company employees. Qualified by Training as a subject matter expert and classroom instructor. Performs as both classroom and lab Trainer for the local facility. Assists mechanics and Technicians in the development of logical and progressive competency based technical training. Assists in forming training plans and establishing goals in support of organizational business objectives.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  1. Delivers classroom and practical aircraft technical training to employees at all locations as directed by management .
  2. Assists in the development of logical and progressive competency based technical training .
  3. Assists in forming training plans and establishing goals in support of organizational business objectives .
  4. Provide support to the local facility .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

  1. Must be able to read and interpret maintenance manuals, IPCs, ASCs, CBs, CMP cards, engineering orders and blueprints.
  2. Must be able to troubleshoot systems during tests and perform systems and operational checks.
  3. Must be available to conduct training on any shift and travel to all locations.
  4. Must possess facilitation and presentation capabilities.
  5. Good organizational skills and strong verbal/written communications skills required.
