The selected candidate will work in any of our USN product lines (Mk-38 25mm chain gun; Mk-41 VLS; Mk-45 5" gun; Mk-63 Weather shields; and Mk-110 57mm gun). This includes prep, mechanical, harness, cable, printed circuit board sub- assemblies, spray application, and inspections. Performs soldering and instillation of components to contract specifications using a wide range of tools and equipment. May be asked to travel. This is a full time position with benefits.
Responsibilities:- Read work orders and follow production drawings or verbal instructions
- Position and align parts in a specialized relationship to each other, in a holding device, or a hand instrument.
- Tend to machines or use hand tools and power tools to secure parts in place
- Mount assembly components on panels, in cabinets or routes and connect wires between individual component leads and other components using soldering or crimping procedure
- Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets
- Assemble and attach functional and cosmetic hardware to assemblies using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as cleaning, coating, and coding parts and assemblies
- Cut and terminate cables
- Test assembled equipment. May be required to modify parts and printed circuit boards
- Perform advanced-level assembly functions, typically working from models and /or drawings, within production.
- Interpret blueprints, process flow instructions, and other written/verbal instructions.
- Responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards. with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule, within budget and to SPC standard practices.
- May perform more detailed tasks requiring deeper knowledge and experience in the specified processes and procedures.
- Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals.
- Resolve most questions and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher levels.
- Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
- May periodically assist in orienting and training lower level employees.
Pay Information:
2024 Salary Range: $62,810 - $100,540

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Job Requirements:
Required Education, Experience, & Skills - MUST be familiar with soldering wires and cables
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Good communication skills
- Team player
- Self-starter and ability to work under minimal supervision
- able to follow written work instructions and read/interpret blueprints, models and drawings
- Must hold Fiberoptic Certification
- Must be able to obtain and maintain DBIDS access.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Familiarization with Naval Gun and/or Missile Systems platforms
- Electrical Journeyman certification or equivalent
- 5+ years of relevant experience building electrical cables/systems
- Experience with soldering and electro-mechanical assembly
- IPC610/620 and /or JSTD001
- Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance
- Must be able to transport up to 25 lbs
- U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Experience working with Microsoft Office and Lotus notes
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $62810 - $100540
