Job Summary:
Inspects, identifies, and repairs defects in composite aircraft components and structural bond lines. Performs repairs to carbon and glass composite material by following the appropriate engineering standard repair manual. Mixes and applies resin epoxy, adhesives, and sealants. Programs and operates ovens and curing equipment per established processes. Coordinates with engineers on the proper repair steps of minor to complex structural repairs. Ensures repairs meet fit, clearance, alignment, and functional performance in accordance with design requirements.
Qualifications:
Two years experience in composite bonding or fabrication preferred, but not required.
Must be able to wear a respirator, lift up to 75 lbs. and occasionally work a warm environment. Must have strong attention to detail. High School Diploma or GED required.
