To further qualify for this position, candidates must hold an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License with Inspection Authorization and demonstrate a minimum of three years' experience working on general aviation fixed-wing aircraft, particularly Cessna and Beechcraft models. Applicants should possess a basic set of tools and equipment required for maintenance tasks and exhibit unwavering integrity and professionalism in all aspects of their work. Strong verbal communication, excellent organizational skills, effective time management, and a commitment to teamwork and customer service are essential qualities.
Physical requirements include the ability to regularly move up to 10 pounds and, on occasion, up to 35 pounds, as well as the capacity to work from ladders or work stands to access different areas of the aircraft.
Key responsibilities of the Certified A&P Technician include managing shop workflow, maintaining positive customer relations, handling invoicing, and authorizing aircraft for return to service. The role involves routine and scheduled inspections of aircraft, powerplants, and propellers—including 50-hour, 100-hour, annual, and phase inspections. Additional duties encompass the removal and replacement of components, performing light sheet metal and composite repairs, servicing oxygen systems, and utilizing electronic programs and databases to document work. Adherence to company procedures and policies is expected at every stage of the maintenance and inspection process, ensuring both regulatory compliance and the continued safety and reliability of the fleet.
